(top pic: the fenders slope considerably more, but the way it was resting there made it look flat)

Now that I have your attention, anyone have used rear coilovers?

I've looked everywhere, Ebay, craigslist, the Miata forums... noone has JUST the rear for sale, new or used. I'm pushing towards used, since I'm flat broke all the time.

The Seven needs some stiff rear suspension. Right now the front is sitting on 450 or 500lb QA-1's, whereas the rear is sitting on old, worn out, cut-down, stock Miata springs. I built the rear to accommodate the Miata springs, not expecting to need coilovers, but I think finding heavy springs for the Miata is going to be harder than finding adjustable springs. Besides, almost all coilovers are adjustable, and usually start lower than the stock springs, which would jack the back end up around 8" off the ground, compared to the 4" currently.

Having opposite ends of the spectrum, stiff in the front, loose in the back, is crimping my style. Not to mention, I'll never be able to put the rear fenders on without massive bump-stops in the current setup, which would make the ride pretty uncomfortable, not to mention, I don't like half-assing things.

So, anyone?

Try the junkyard. Someone always crashes their Miata and it gets hauled off.
